Wooden Garage doors for Carinya House

The homeowners used Accoya Approved Manufacturers, for all elements of Accoya. This particular joinery company is located in Katoomba, New South Wales and has been using Accoya timber since 2013. They completed this project in February 2018.

A variation of colours has been used for the Accoya garage doors. Accoya is the ideal material for coatings as it is so stable and the limited movement all year round will prevent coatings from deteriorating. The stability will also allow windows and doors to move freely as Accoya wood will shrink and swell much less than other wood species.

Tried & Tested in Australia

Over the past two decades, Accoya wood has been tested extensively by accredited bodies. Their reports showcase the excellent performance and outstanding benefits of Accoya wood and, in particular, Accoya wooden garage doors.

A garage that blends

The owners of this beautiful private residence have chosen a striking façade for their garage. The timber garage doors are made from Accoya wood which has been left uncoated to reveal the natural light colouring of Accoya.

In complete contrast, the garage itself has been clad using charred Accoya. A traditional Shou Sugi Ban technique has been used to create a deep black burnt effect. The two varying finishes compliment each other well and show just how versatile Accoya is.
